Dr. Jordan Matthew
Dr. Jordan Matthew was born and raised in Hannibal, MO. After graduating from high school, she went to William Woods University in Fulton, MO, where she ran cross country and track. She graduated from William Woods University in 2012 with two Bachelor of Science degrees: Athletic Training and Exercise Science. Between undergrad and chiropractic school she went to Columbia College in Columbia, MO, to take prerequisites for grad school. During this time, she was a teacher aide in an autistic classroom. In the fall of 2014, she started chiropractic school at Logan University where she graduated in 2017 with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. Since 2018 she has been serving the Tampa Bay Area as a chiropractor.
Why did Dr. Matthew choose this career? Back in 2013 her younger brother was a freshman and the top pole vaulter on his college team. When he got into a serious car accident, everything changed. He had fractured two of his lumbar vertebrae (lower back) and ruptured his spleen. The family were told he may never be able to pole vault again. However, after being treated by the team chiropractor, he made an unbelievable recovery and continued to be the number one pole vaulter on his team breaking the school's indoor record! This peaked Dr. Matthew's interest in Chiropractic as she wanted to improve the lives of others so that they could meet their full potential. Today Dr. Matthews dedication and compassion for others are qualities that she takes very seriously & pride herself on.
Through her 4 years in practice, Dr. Jordan Matthew has cared for patients of all ages. During chiropractic school, Dr. Jordan Matthew learned multiple adjusting techniques to be able to better serve her patients of all ages.
Dr. Jordan Matthew is President and member of the Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA), Hillsborough County Chiropractic Society (HCCS), and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She has completed her training in the Webster Technique, which is a specialized chiropractic adjustment that helps balance the pelvic muscles and ligaments and reduces the nervous system stress to improve a pregnant woman’s pelvic function in pregnancy and birth.
When Dr. Jordan Matthew is not at the office seeing patients, she loves to enjoy the nice sunny weather Florida has to offer by relaxing on a beach, going to Lightning games with her husband, and taking her dogs, Lily and Lyla, on walks.
